Congratulations, and let us be the first to welcome you to our great city – Austin, Texas!   It is a wonderfully diverse community that is home to approximately 700,000 residents; with almost 1.5 million in the greater metropolitan area.  Austin, has long been recognized as the “Music Capital of the World” and known for its vibrant music scene.  It is also the newest star to rise in the Film Community with the SXSW Movie Festival drawing more and more people to Austin each year.  However, if your tastes tend to be a bit more sophisticated, Austin is also a city rich in culture with many historic landmarks as well as endless choices for those who prefer the beauty and permanence of the Art World, or the excitement and tradition of Live Theater.   However, the Arts of Austin can only be equaled (never surpassed) by the decadence and creativity of the many restaurants and fine dining establishments that number more (per capita) than San Francisco. 

But once you have experienced some of what the city has to offer, including several of the largest and most ultra modern shopping complexes, you need only drive a few minutes away from the city and before you can say “There’s no place like the Lake”, you will be relaxing on one of the many sparkling Highland Lakes of Central Texas – letting the warm summer sun soak into your skin while all your cares and worries seem to fade with the sunset.  As you take your evening stroll along the edge of one of the many beautiful area golf courses and listen to the sounds of the different wildlife that make their homes in the gently rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country, just keep pinching yourself until you finally believe – it just doesn’t get any better than this!
